From the goat farm to the market hall – our holiday programme
A recap of the holiday programme at Kochschule Neun
Over two weeks during the 2025 summer holidays, we cooked, tasted, learnt and discovered new things with lots of curious primary school children. At Markthalle Neun, we chopped, seasoned and ate together – our little chefs tried out new recipes and learnt a lot about healthy and sustainable eating in the process.
On our trips to the countryside, the children were able to see for themselves where our food comes from: we visited farms and businesses in Berlin and Brandenburg and learnt how cheese and honey are made, how bread is baked, and what farmers actually do.
A huge thank you to all the children, families, supporters and, of course, our partner organisations – it’s been two fantastic weeks full of lovely encounters and delicious experiences!

In the new school year, KOCHSCHULE NEUN will be running an afternoon programme in which interested primary school children can take part on a regular basis. Anyone wishing to join can contact us by email at bildung@markthalleneun.de.
